Dr. Gary Lang, Dentist. Rochester, Greece, NY

Dr. Gary Lang

Dentist

Dr. Gary Lang is a lifelong resident of Rochester, New York and practices General Family Dentistry in the town of Greece since 1985.  In pursuit of his dental goals Dr. Lang attended St. John Fisher College, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania.

Upon graduation of dental school Dr. Lang purchased an 1850 farm house in Greece and with the help of family, they converted the front of their home into a dental office.  He has been serving the community for more than 32 years. The home office setting and caring staff have provided patients with a family atmosphere for many wonderful years.

Dr. Lang’s practice emphasizes comfort, communication, education and quality treatment with the latest techniques constantly implemented. His team sees patients from one year old through 100 years old. They provide a wide range of dental services in a patient centered caring way.  Their goal is to provide the highest quality dental care in a way we ourselves would like to be treated.

His interest in dentistry started at a young age.  As a grammar school student, he participated in the Soap Box Derby. It was there that he met his mentor, the director of the derby, Dr. Richard Rohrer DMD, Orthodontist.  Dr. Rohrer encouraged Dr. Lang to consider applying his craftsmanship skills towards dentistry.

He married his best friend Kathy in May, 1983. They have three great children, Brittany, Greg and Kevin. Gary and Kathy couldn’t be more proud of the adults they have become and they encourage them to follow their dreams.

Dr. Lang is an avid outdoorsman. Taking advantage of anytime to golf, ski, fish, kitesurf and snowmobile with his sons. He loves to travel with family and friends.

Dr. Greg Lang

Dentist

Dr. Greg Lang obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He then went on to secure a one year research position in Washington, DC with the Food and Drug Administration. Following his research at the FDA, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he met his wife, and dental team mate, Dr. Jess! Following dental school, they chose to further their dental education by attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program through Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital, located in Sitka, Alaska. Not only did this residency afford them the opportunity to significantly expand their scope of practice, but they got the chance to live and explore in Southeast Alaska! Dr. Greg recognizes that we live in an incredibly exciting era of dentistry in which technology is greatly impacting the way in which dentists practice. He is confident that his education has enabled him to deliver an excellent level of care aided by the latest advancements in dentistry. It is a dream come true for Dr. Greg, to return to, and serve, the very community in which he grew up. In his free time, Dr. Greg would describe himself as an avid outdoorsman. He loves to fish, golf, camp, hike and be out on the water. On windy days you may see him and his Dad, Dr. Gary Lang,  kitesurfing out at Durand beach and on calmer days you may see them chipping golf balls back and forth to each other in the yard. While in Alaska, Dr. Greg and Dr. Jess hiked every published trail in the Sitka vicinity, including the 14 mile hike up the dormant Mt. Edgecume volcano. However, these days you will see them out on the trails with their little girl, Abilene, and their two Goldendoodles, Piper and Cub. He is energetic, adventurous, and fun to be around.

Dr. Jessica Lang, Dentist. Rochester, Greece, NY

Dr. Jessica

Lang

Dentist

Born and raised in a small town, Amherst, Virginia, Dr. Jessica Lang is a true example of southern hospitality. If you listen closely, you might even hear that sweet southern drawl. Dr. Jess attended Sweet Briar College, in Virginia, for her undergraduate education where she graduated Cum Laude, earning a BS in Biology. During her time at Sweet Briar she expressed early interest in caring for others by volunteering as an EMT with the local rescue squad. Following SBC, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. If you ask, she will tell you how her and her husband, turn dental partner, Dr. Greg Lang, met the first day of dental school. Following VCU, Dr. Jess experienced a once-in a lifetime opportunity to further her training by moving to Sitka, Alaska to practice dentistry at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. While working in Sitka, Dr. Jess and Greg performed complex dental procedures. Although they both miss living in Sitka, they are both excited to be back in Rochester, NY surrounded by family and friends. Dr. Jess believes she offers dentistry in a comforting environment with a gentle and caring touch. One of her favorite aspects of general dentistry is that she has the opportunity to form life-long relationships with her patients. This translates to highly personalized and comforting care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jess enjoys anything to do with the outdoors. She’s an avid runner, hiker and skier. She also loves cooking and baking. Dr. Greg and Dr. Jess welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Abilene in May 2019. They also have two fur babies, Goldendoodles, Piper and Cub.
